Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Announced, Launching As Soon As In May For Wi-Fi Variant


Today, Samsung announced the newest member of its tablet family. The new Galaxy Tab 3 is a 7-inch tablet that will feature a sleeker design and enhanced capabilities.
Although it is aimed at the lower to mid-range market (in comparison to the Galaxy Note 8.0), the Galaxy Tab 3 promises to be a fully functional, nearly pocket-sized tablet.
The Tab 3′s compact design ensures portability and ease if use; it is made complete by the tablet’s thinner bezel and “one-hand grip factor”. Multimedia performance has been improved as well with the Tab 3 sporting a 1.2GHz Dual Core processor that allows for faster processing and downloading.
It will be offered with either 8 or 16 GB of internal storage with up to 64GB of expandable storage. With this much space, the Tab 3 will be able to hold tons of pictures, music, apps and videos.

The Galaxy Tab 3 also sports a front and rear-facing camera. The front-facing camera is 1.3 megapixels and the rear-facing camera touts 3 megapixels. The Tab comes with the latest Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and will allow its users to Tab 3 owners to share videos and pictures with a few simple taps and swipes.
We can expect to see the WiFi variant of the Tab 3 hit the market some time in May of 2013, followed by it’s 3G sibling sometime in June. Samsung has stated that product availability will vary by market and will be rolled out gradually.
